June 30, 2009 · Elizabeth Gerber presented a talk at the Harvey Mudd Design Workshop on teaching sustainable design in Engineering Design and Communication. The talk was prepared by Gerber, Ann McKenna, Penny Hirsch, and Charles Yarnoff. The faculty surveyed freshmen students on their knowledge of and attitudes toward sustainable design, and introduced key concepts into their sections of EDC.
