Students present prototypes for people with disabilities

March 12, 2009 · Presentations of over 60 freshman engineering design projects in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Lamb's Farm, The Diveheart Foundation, Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association, and Leap Learning Systems. Projects include:

  • Power Chair Soccer Guards
  • One-handed insulin administration
  • One-handed Camera Stablizer
  • System to allow independent transfer to and from wheelchair

    • Support provided by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, Baxter Healthcare, and the McCormick Office of Corporate Relations.
