Call for Projects for People with Disabilities

Oct. 27, 2009 · Now accepting project proposals for people with disabilities for Winter Quarter. From January to March 2010, freshman students enrolled in DSGN 106 (Engineering Design and Communication) work with occupational, physical, and recreational therapists to explore engineering solutions to everday challenges while addressing the particular needs of people with disabilities.

 

Past projects have been done in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, The Anixter Center, Diveheart Foundation, The Douglas Center, Lamb's Farm, Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association, The North Center, RIC Galvin Health and Fitness Center, and Shore Community Services.
