Design Thinking and Communication (formerly EDC): Segal's Foundation Design Course
Student teams work with real clients to solve real problems. All engineering majors participate in DTC, where they learn design thinking, problem framing, communication, and multidisciplinary problem solving. DTC is co-sponsored and co-taught by the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Writing Program.
Design Credentials Offered
The Certificate in Engineering Design can be combined with any McCormick undergraduate degree. The certificate program focuses on innovative engineering design in a team-based, cross-disciplinary setting.
The BS degree in Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MaDE) educates engineers in all aspects of product realization from product design to manufacturing technologies and operations. Students learn to integrate various design and manufacturing processes into an effective system.
